Land Girl Dungarees and Blouse for Barbie-Pattern #7 and Free Tutorial

Today I’m not just sharing the release of a new pattern, I’m also sharing a free tutorial for a headscarf to compliment the outfit.  This is a great 1940’s inspired outfit of dungarees and blouse.  Dress your Barbie up as a WW2 Land Girl or as Rosie the Riveter.

Fits TNT body.

Reproduction original.

And belly button.

Look at that fun strap detail in the back.

Pattern can be purchased here.

And now for a quick headscarf tutorial.  To make the pattern, cut a strip of paper that measures 7 1/2″ long by 1 1/2″ wide.  Fold in half short ways and then long ways, cut a rounded corner, cutting through all layers.

Cut 2 pieces from your fabric, using your newly made pattern.

Stitch around all edges with a 1/4″ seam, leaving an opening on side for turning.  Clip around the end points.

Turn right side out, press, and top stitch all around, 1/8″ from outer edge.

Tie it around your dolls head and admire her pretty new scarf.
